Training for Education Professionals
Effective March 30, 2007, Ohio Revised code Section 3319.073 requires 4 hours in-service on Child Abuse Detection Training to include:

  • Prevention of Violence
  • Substance Abuse
  • Promotion of Positive Youth Development

Educate Schools has the online in-service programs to meet these requirements.

The online programs have been professionally developed and provide up-to-date information on bullying, cyber bullying, child abuse, and substance abuse. Programs outline the role of the professional in bu
llying, cyber bullying, child abuse, and substance abuse. Promotion of positive youth development has been woven into the programs.



Special Points of Interest

  • All elementary school professionals employed prior to 3/30/07 are required to complete expanded inservice training requirements by 3/30/09 and every 5 years thereafter
  • New employees must complete training within 2 years of employment and every 5 years thereafter
  • ODE recommends all elementary through high school staff members attend the training
